"Constant sun exposure is something still new to me. The African sun is intense and it didn't take long after landing in SA that my whites began to turn brown. For the longest time I thought it was because I wasn't drinking enough water until I learned that browning of the sclera was often caused by sun damage. I was quickly forced to start wearing sunglasses but I found most brands to be heavy on the face. I would eventually take them off and end up forgetting them somewhere. By this time last year I'd had enough and decided I needed lightweight, fashionable eyewear that felt like second skin. I wanted sunglasses I could wear and forget I'm even wearing them. That was the birth of Constance 1989." -Connie B.
